SPHO-NHO strive toward the education of Standardbred lovers and the general public alike in all aspects of horsemanship through a cooperative and fun environment.

Our goal is to promote the Standardbred as a non-racing performance and pleasure horse by offering opportunities to learn the proper care, maintenance, and training while encouraging participation in a variety of horse related activities from instructional clinics and seminars to therapeutic riding/driving programs to gymkhanas.

Aiming to demonstrate the performance aspect of the Standardbred sport horse through various types and levels of equestrian competition, combined with the aforementioned pleasure horse qualities, Standardbred Pleasure Horse Organizations are working to educate all individuals on the versatility of the breed and the many benefits from involvement with the Standardbred
